Community Mental Health for Central Michigan is a six county CMH Authority providing a wide range of mental health services to persons in Clare, Gladwin, Isabella, Mecosta, Midland and Osceola counties.  CMHCM is accredited by the Joint Council on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

 

 

TITLE:   Nurse Practitioner

 

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

 

Performs a variety of duties within the scope of practice of a Clinical Nurse Practitioner. Provides general medical care and treatment to consumers with a mental illness or developmental disability through evaluation, assessment, planning, education, intervention, and review in a variety of settings. Also completes ongoing medication reviews.

 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Michigan RN License and certified by the Michigan Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with a psychiatric specialty or sufficient experience in psychiatric care to perform the job satisfactorily.   Drug Enforcement Agency Registration.  Mental Health experience with adults and children preferred, as well as experience with Co-Occurring Disorders.
