TITLE: MST Therapist (Midland – Children’s 4th Floor) 

 

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

 

Responsible for providing a wide range of mental health services to facilitate implementation of Multisystemic Therapy (MST).  MST is a community-based treatment model directed at youth involved in criminal activity and their families and information about this treatment model on the internet at www.mstservices.com. Responsible for the MST assessment including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context. Must be available to provide periodic on-call 24-hour coverage.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

Masters degree in Social Work, Clinical or Counseling Psychology required. Michigan licensure required.  LMSW or LLP preferred. Will consider LLMSW or LPC plus LBSW. Sufficient experience in the direct use of pragmatic family therapies and individual therapy with children and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques.  Experience with marital therapy using behaviorally-based approaches, behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance and implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood).

 

SALARY:        Up to $51,022 depending upon experience.  Excellent benefits.
